Arpita Mahila Samithi members of NTPC-Nava Raipur celebrated the colourful festival of Teej with fervor and gaiety on September 09, 2023. Held at NTPC Nava Raipur Office, the event witnessed participation of enthusiastic ladies club members who looked vibrant in their traditional attire while performing dance and singing folk song.
Inaugurating the programme, Chief Guest of the occasion,
Smt. Reena Babasaheb Kangale, IAS, Chief Electoral Officer, Chhattisgarh
appreciated the participants for their vibrant look and cultural performance
representing pan-India. “It is truly representing Mini-India as the members of
ladies club performing dances and songs representing many parts of the country.
That is the beauty of this country,” she expressed. She also appreciated Arpita
Mahila Samithi for its welfare initiative and said that women can take care of
their home and the society and nation as well. She further asked all to
exercise their voting right during elections.
Later, the Chief Guest alongwith office bearers of Arpita
Mahila Samiti handed over Teej Quen to Smt Megha Agarwal besides presenting other
awards to the winners.
Earlier, Smt C Padmaja, President, ArpitaMahila Samiti
spoke on the significance of the Teej festival. She further added that it is
heartening to see that so many members joining to celebrate the colorful Teej
festival.On this occasion, Smt C PadmajaalongwithSmt. Dipali Acharya, General
Secretary welcomed the guests.
The celebration featured Kajari, skit by Nanhe Kadam, cultural
programme, fun games and of course the Teej Queen competition.
During this occasion, Smt Rupali Sinha, Vice President and
other office bearers and members of ArpitaMahila Samiti were present.
